Brenda Jewell is a Bilingual Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska and a co-founder of Tree of Hope Therapy Group. Brenda Jewell was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas before moving to Nebraska to attend college. She has many years of experience in working with different cultures and family dynamics. She has worked with children and families that have been through trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, divorce, abuse, neglect, violence and sexual abuse, problematic sexual abuse and foster care. Brenda previously provided therapy to children and their families at Project Harmony for five years. Brenda also worked for Omaha Public Schools and Lutheran Family Services as a family support liaison. She is trained in several evidence based practices including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy(PCIT), Behavioral Therapy for Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB-CBT), Bounce Back (school based group therapy for elementary students exposed to stressful or traumatic events) and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS). She is also trained to integrate faith into the client’s healing if the client chooses to do so.
